Tim Lane Trail Stop

Tim Lane was a beloved member of the Des Moines community whose passion for the outdoors and kindness touched everyone he met. Tim’s adventurous spirit led him to explore every mile of our local trails, rain or shine, always ready with a friendly wave or a word of encouragement for fellow trail-goers.

Now, we have the opportunity to honor Tim’s memory in a way that reflects his legacy. With your support, we will build a new shelter and rest stop along the Karras-Kaul Connector trail—a lasting tribute to Tim’s life and the joy he found outdoors. This welcoming haven will provide a safe place for hikers, bikers, and families to rest, refuel, and connect, just as Tim did throughout his life.

Your donation will help ensure that Tim’s love for the trail continues to inspire and support our community for generations to come. Join us in celebrating Tim’s life and making a lasting impact on the trail he cherished.
