Join Friends of Des Moines Parks for an unforgettable evening at “Dinner in the Greenhouse”, a one-of-a-kind fundraising dinner designed to celebrate community and support Des Moines' green spaces.
Set within the newly constructed greenhouse during the poinsettia bloom, guests will be treated to a four-course, farm-to-table dinner curated by local chef, Grant Gillon, each course expertly paired with fine wines.
Enjoy a unique culinary experience surrounded by the natural beauty and festive ambiance of the greenhouse. The evening offers not only exquisite food and wine but also the chance to connect with fellow supporters who share a passion for improving Des Moines’ parks, trails, and recreational opportunities.
Proceeds from “Dinner in the Greenhouse” directly benefit Friends of Des Moines Parks. Your generous support will help fund essential enhancements and programming for our local parks, ensure our trail system stays accessible and safe, and expand recreational offerings for all members of the community.

Meet Your Culinary Creators

Chef Grant Gillon rose to fame as a winner of Gordon Ramsay's Master Chef, where he showcased his skill, creativity, and passion for cooking. Since his Master Chef victory, Grant has continued to wow diners with his ability to combine bold flavors and fresh, local ingredients. His dedication to excellence and flair for creating memorable dishes make him a standout in Iowa's culinary scene.

Aaron Holt is the chef and owner of Catering by Doolittle Farm, a business built on the farm-to-table model. A decorated chef, his accolades include the 2018 Iowa Restaurant Association’s Chef of the Year, the 2019 Morsel Combat People's Choice award, and the 2022 Taste of Elegance award. He took over his family’s century farm in 2018 with a goal of providing a sustainable food future through regenerative agriculture.

Sarah Pritchard is a Level 1 Sommelier and a professional in the food, wine, and hospitality industry with two decades of experience. As the former owner of Table 128, she was recognized with the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence four years in a row for her curated list of 150+ wines. She has also deepened her expertise by traveling globally, visiting over 50 wineries, and working two harvests. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Sunday Night Foods.

Carson Parker, a native of Des Moines, Iowa, has emerged as one of the Midwest's most captivating young jazz pianists, blending a mix of jazz, blues, and funk into his distinctive style.
Carson's musical journey began at the age of six, when he first played the piano, setting a foundation for a lifelong dedication to the craft. His music, marked by passion and precision, shows a deep appreciation for jazz greats like Cedar Walton, Oscar Peterson, and Benny Green, who have significantly shaped his sound.
